It started with a question. What if this year, our holiday gifts could do more than say “thank you”? What if they could say something about who we are—as a company, as a community, and as client partners?
When it came time to plan our year-end gifting, we looked at the usual swag catalogs—mugs, tumblers, branded knick-knacks—and paused. Then we made a different choice.
A Gift That Ripples
We partnered with Gifts for Good, a woman-owned, Certified B Corporation that believes every gift should create a ripple of positive change. Instead of shipping out products with our logo, we sent something better: impact.
Each client received a personalized note sharing the gift Boldr made in their honor, supporting a cause aligned with their values.
What happened next was unexpected. The messages started rolling in.
“Thank you so much for this gift! My dog is a rescue so this hits close to my heart.” — Katie Rose Dawson, Director of Customer, Odeko
“Thank you for helping moms in need. This truly means a lot. Please keep doing great work.” — Rory Wicks, Outsourcing Support Manager, Ocado
“Thanks for the gift—I’m happy to use it for ocean habitat restoration.” — Neil Smith, Vice President of Technical Support, Iterable
“Thank you for offering charitable options as gifts and making a positive impact in the world.” — Mike Stanowski, Director of Customer Experience, Made In
“Thank you so much for this gift and for the fact that it will result in the planting of trees!” — Summer Weinberg, Systems & Compliance Director, STG
“You all are such great partners. Thank you very much for your partnership.” — Kimberly Tom, Director of Customer Experience, Brooklinen
“My kids will love this lion—and it’s amazing that it supports a great cause.” — Paul Nobile, Lead Professional Services, ActionIQ
These weren’t just polite thank-yous. They were stories, reflections, and heartfelt affirmations from our clients—who suddenly weren’t just recipients of a gift, but part of a movement.
What That Movement Looked Like
Here’s what Boldr's community helped make possible:
- 70 children received a year’s supply of lifesaving vitamins
- 42 weeks of clean water and sanitation in the Central African Republic
- 210 meals for children in need in the U.S.
- 140 months of prenatal vitamins for mothers
- 3 children entering foster care received their first book
- 115 minutes of dignified employment for artisans and women
- 112 hours of care and 29 days of food for rescue animals
- 22 feet of coastal habitat restored
- $50 in emergency relief for the Middle East
- 7 pregnancy risk assessments for expecting moms
- 20 meals for people experiencing hunger
One of those gifts went to a maternal health clinic in Central America, where prenatal vitamins are often out of reach. A young mother named Isabel received her first full bottle during her second trimester. She delivered a healthy baby two months later. Her nurse said the vitamins likely made all the difference.
Through Gifts for Good, we found a way to make the holidays more meaningful. But through you—our clients—we found community, compassion, and a reminder of why we do this work.
The Future of Gifting Is Purpose
Gifts for Good showed us what happens when generosity and impact meet. Every product in their catalog supports a nonprofit or social enterprise. Every gift has a story. And every recipient becomes part of the solution.
We’re taking that spirit with us into the year ahead.
So next time you see a Boldr delivery, know that it’s never just a project. It’s a partnership. A purpose. And sometimes, it’s a bottle of vitamins that saves a life.
