Philippines: Empowering Indigenous Communities Through The Mayoyao PASSION Project
Now on its fifth run, the Mayoyao PASSION Project (MPP) continues to make a meaningful impact in the far-flung communities of Mayoyao, Ifugao—a place tucked away in the mountains, 12 hours from Metro Manila and requiring an almost two-hour trek to reach.
With Boldr’s support, we were able to procure essential items to establish Honesty Stores in two schools, fostering a culture of integrity and self-discipline among students. As part of this initiative, Man-Man Tiglao from Boldr Global Employment led an engaging Financial Literacy session for student leaders and teachers of Tulaed National High School, equipping them with practical skills to manage resources wisely.
Over the years, MPP has donated school supplies, computer sets, and hygiene kits, set up honesty stores, and provided school IDs, benefiting over 180 Indigenous students. This project is more than just donations—it’s about empowering communities, creating opportunities, and making education more accessible to those who need it most.
Philippines: Boldr and AHA Kick Off Futsal Club to Support Youth Development
The AHA Learning Center, in partnership with Boldr, successfully launched the AHA Futsal Club at Better World Smokey Mountain, aiming to provide underprivileged youth with access to structured sports training.
With funding from Boldr, the program procured essential training equipment, allowing 20 players aged 8-15 years old to participate in training and team-building sessions. The participants expressed their excitement and gratitude, highlighting the transformative impact of this initiative on their lives.
Looking ahead, AHA and Boldr plan to enhance training sessions and enable players to compete in tournaments with the Tondo Football Club, further fostering sportsmanship and skill development. This collaboration emphasizes how sports can be a powerful tool for education, growth, and community-building, ensuring that young athletes have the resources they need to thrive.
