For the second year in a row, Boldr has claimed its spot on the Inc. 5000 list, ranking No. 1192. We take great pride in this achievement as it is the result of a collective effort from our teams and our clients. Being a repeat honoree within a group of fast-growing founders allows us to reflect on our growth, and to continue pushing boundaries, improving our communities, and exceeding expectations.

What does it mean to be on the Inc. 5000 list?

Inc. 5000 was born from its predecessor Inc. 500 in 2007 and has since given multiple companies like Microsoft, Pandora, LinkedIn, Zillow, Chobani, Under Armour, and countless other household names their first national exposure.

Appearing on the Inc. 5000 list is a significant milestone, as the importance of this recognition goes beyond just achieving revenue growth. The list ranks the fastest-growing private companies in the United States, and it is given to entrepreneurs and founders who established their companies from the ground up.

Being an Inc. 5000 honoree provides numerous benefits. New businesses can share their story, brand values, and motivations, attracting potential customers and investors while also increasing brand exposure and legitimizing their business. Additionally, this achievement serves as a bridge to connect with a like-minded community fostering opportunities to learn and grow from their journey.

How are the 2023 Inc. 5000 companies selected?

The Inc. 5000 ranks companies by overall revenue growth over a three-year period. Companies on the 2023 Inc. 5000 list were ranked according to their percentage revenue growth from 2019 to 2022. The qualified companies must be privately held, U.S.-based, independent, and have been founded and have been generating revenue since March 31, 2019.

According to Inc. Magazine, “the minimum revenue required for 2019 is $100,000; the minimum required revenue for 2022 is $2 million.” Any company that matches the requirements, regardless of their industry, is welcome to participate.

Our growth

Marking its second consecutive year, Boldr is delighted to receive recognition on the Inc. 5000 list. In the year 2023, we achieved the remarkable ranking of No. 1192. We owe this honor to our team members and to our clients, who have put their full trust in us to build incredible teams for them.

From 2019 to 2022, we concentrated our efforts on improving our infrastructure. In 2021, we focused our energy on opening offices in Mexico and South Africa, welcoming new team members, and a set of new challenges. After a change in direction, our founder, David Sudolsky, and Mari Parker, Boldr’s COO, realized that their mission was to have intentional and steady growth, rethinking our values and what our long-term goals were.

“Our goal is not to be the fastest-growing outsourcing company out there. We want to grow mindfully and make sure that our focus is on our impact,” said our Head of Brand Marketing, Alex Peña. “We maintain a healthy business that doesn’t rely on outside investment to be sustainable while delivering on our mission to the community, driving career growth for our team, and generating results for our clients.”

Over the past 5 years Boldr’s growth has continued at an average of above 70% per year. We were able to reduce both the operating cost of sales and operating expenses through improved efficiency, which lead to an improvement of over 200% in EBITDA year-over-year, all while investing back into our communities through different projects, such as our living wage initiative in the Philippines and our impact sourcing program in Hazyview, South Africa. We also expanded our operations by establishing Boldr in Canada.

Where are we headed?

We draw strength from the dedicated efforts of our team members and the invaluable support of our partners. As we move forward, our focus is set on exceeding client expectations, enhancing internal processes, and fostering the well-being of our teams.

“I think it is beautiful to see that a lot of Boldr’s growth in this period came from existing clients,” stated Mari Parker. “This highlights to me that our team delivers excellence, and as we build trust with our clients, our partnerships deepen and we get to grow together. Being included on this list again is an honor, and I want to express my gratitude to the team that has made this possible and to each and every Boldr team member. Thank you!”

We are preparing ourselves for the next steps of our operation, focusing on sustainable growth and impact while promoting ownership and simplicity. We also shifted our focus on understanding our metrics and what they mean to our team and our clients, being able to correlate every dollar spent to the amount of effort being done.

“Our next step is driving growth by focusing on what already makes us good, and that is continuing to deliver a great client experience by focusing on our clients because a lot of our growth comes from our client’s growth, so the more we continue to deliver a great customer experience, the more we’ll grow as a business,” Alex mentions.

Being on the Inc. 5000 list reminds us of our commitment to continue caring for and improving our partnerships with our value-aligned clients, as well as working towards the well-being and development of Boldr’s incredible talent.

At Boldr we believe in growing hand-in-hand with our partners, helping them achieve their goals with high-performing teams. If you are interested in learning more about our ethical outsourcing solutions and how we’ve helped our clients achieve their goals, click here.
