Creating Opportunities Together: Boldr and Streetlight Philippines Continue a Lasting Partnership
Since 2017, Boldr has partnered with Streetlight Philippines, a nonprofit organization in Tacloban City dedicated to supporting children, youth, and families through education, social welfare, skills development, and safe community spaces.
Tacloban is home to one of our offices and many of our team members, making our work with Streetlight more than a one-time initiative. It is a long-term commitment rooted in continued presence, participation, and investment in the community where we live and work.
Over the years, Boldr's support has taken many forms. We have provided financial support, IT equipment, skills-based training, and volunteer service, and more recently, support for Streetlight’s Food Provision Program.
During Q2 2026, Streetlight's programs continued to provide essential support to children and youth – 224 attended the tutorial program, 104 received school supplies, 34 used the computer lab, and 47 accessed printing and photocopying services. Streetlight also served 7,906 meals and provided transportation support to 293 children and youth.
Boldr also called on team members to volunteer for Streetlight's school supplies distribution on June 1 in Tacloban. The initiative helped prepare students for the school year by providing essential items including backpacks, shoes, notebooks, and other school supplies.
As Streetlight's Partner Relations Officer, Devina Dalagan, shared:
The day was made even more fulfilling by seeing the students' smiles as they received their supplies.
Another highlight was the 2026 Streetlight Summer Camp, a four-week program created to give children and youth a fun and engaging school break. Thirteen Boldr team members contributed 81 hours of volunteer service, facilitating games and team-building activities, assisting students, and helping create a safe and inclusive environment.
Streetlight's work also supports young people as they pursue education and employment. In Q2, the program recorded 16 continuing students, 3 working students, 2 employed youth, and 1 job seeker.
The quarter also saw strong volunteer participation, with 48 Boldr volunteers contributing alongside Streetlight's volunteers, interns, and parent volunteers.
Through continued financial support, resources, skills-sharing, and hands-on volunteering, Boldr remains committed to growing our partnership with Streetlight and creating meaningful opportunities for children and youth in Tacloban.
